Lord of the Rings Minifigures

We saw the Fellowship at Toyfair 2012 but now we get a full line up of minifigures for the Lord of the Rings wave (Coming Summer/Fall 2012). My favorite has to be the Ring Wraiths or Gandalf, they both look amazing! Check out the pictures below. The top picture is of the Fellowship and the bottom is of the baddies.

Lego Lord of the Rings- Gollum Poster

Anyone who has seen Lord of the Rings knows that Gollum is one creepy person (thing?). He was possessed by the power of the ring and LEGO shows this perfectly in this picture. Kinda scary if you think about it. Check out the creepy picture below.

MARVEL "Ultrabuild" Pictures

I wasn't very fond of the Ben 10 sets released last year and was disappointed on hearing that LEGO will be releasing them as part of their Superheroes wave. Then again, they aren't aimed at me or probably anyone over 7. Anyway they look kinda cool. Check out the pictures below. My favorite would have to be Ironman.

Mini Modulars Now Available

The exclusive VIP set is now available to VIP members. The mini modulars is pretty much just a micro build of the town modular sets. As a VIP member, I don't know if I will buy this, maybe if I have a little extra cash after LEGO's summer wave. Check out the pics below!

Compare the micro versions and the real versions below!

Toyfair 2012 Pictures

A lot of cool pictures from Toyfair 2012 have been revealed. Although pictures weren't allowed to be taken of the future 2012 sets, these pictures of the LEGO banners were taken. I'm gald we can now see the entire Fellowship of the Ring in the Lord of the Rings picture. Also the Monster Fighters look cool but the fighters look more like machines. MARVEL looks pretty cool as well. Enjoy!

Interview With Bionicle28

This interview was done with Bionicle28 who was nice enough to answer these questions
He was nice enough to do this on his own time. Be sure to check out his channel and subscribe!

A clip from his film, Batman- Out of Character

1) What inspired you to start brickfilming?‬

‪The thing that got me started back in 2008 was a Lego Star Wars brickfilm made by Spugesdu. The cool sets and awesome effects really got me inspired. I also recently got a stop motion program called iStopmotion. So I also wanted to do something with that as well.‬

‪2) Who is your favorite brickfilmer and what is your favorite brickfilm?‬

‪I would have to say that ZachMG is one of my favorites. Honestly, I don't have a favorite brickfilm. There are a lot of awesome brickfilms out there.

‪3) What is your favorite LEGO set?

‪I would have say that my favorite would be the Café Corner set.

‪4) Did you ever think you would become this popular?

‪Not really. I didn't even think I would be doing this very long. I was pleased when other people started watching and enjoying my videos.‬

‪5) Does making LEGO Stop-motion influence in your social life?‬

‪Not too much. I usually animate when I have nothing else to do.‬

‪6) Have you ever had any issues with another YouTuber?‬

‪Nope‬.

‪7) If you could go back to when you began brickfilming would you have changed anything you did on your videos or on youtube?‬

‪I would have changed almost everything I did when making a movie. Using something besides sunlight for lighting the sets, taping my sets down, being more patient while animating, the list goes on. For the most part, I do things on Youtube almost the same way I did when I started.‬

‪8) Do you have any tips for aspiring animators?‬

‪Patience. That is the main thing an animator should have. Without this the film seems rushed, unfinished, and disorganized in some cases. Spending an hour doing one scene can be very boring, but the results will look spectacular if you take your time.‬

‪9) What are your plans for the future?‬

‪At the moment I'm working on the third part of my series Strangers and I also have lots of other movies to do in the future. So stay tuned for those!‬

Lego Lord of the Rings- Legolas Poster

Sydney Opera House Architecture Set

This image of the NEW Architecture Sydney Opera House set was found on the Japanese Amazon. According to the site it will have an June release. Personally I think it looks a little too "clunky". They should have made it on a bigger scale so make the curves more realistic.

MARVEL Minifigures Revealed

The MARVEL minifigures were seen a while ago but now we get an advertisement in a LEGO catalogue. I must say I am disappointed with Iron Man's helmet. It looks way to big! Hopefully pictures of the MARVEL sets will be coming soon!

Interview With AgentIndy417

This interview was done with AgentIndy417 who was nice enough to answer these questions
on his own time. Just as a quick reminder if you didn't already know this, AgentIndy417 is two people (Calum and Jack) so some of the questions have two answers. Be sure to check
out their channel and subscribe!

A shot from their most popular film, Lego Agents The Movie Final Part

Okay then. Because there r 2 of us that run AgentIndy417 (Calum and Jack) some of the questions will have 2 answers, 1 for each of us but the rest will have our overall opinion. Hope that's okay. Anyway here it goes :)

1) What inspired you to start brickfilming?

In 2008, we started brickfilming after watching Forrestfire101 and his videos. We actually
made an advert for him in 2009 which he favourited for two or three months :)

2) Who is your favorite brickfilmer and what is your favorite brickfilm?
Calum: My favourite brickfilm was easily Lego Agents, Project Brick Storm by LGOrlando. To keep it short, it was just simply epic. Shame he closed his account :(

Jack: Tough one, there are many fantastic brickfilms out there. I'm going to say Batman Rebuilt by ChristoferMatthias because while watching it, it truly felt like you were watching an episode of Batman. It was very creative & very entertaining to see 3 of my old time favourite villains in a team :)   As for our favourite brickfilmer, that's got to be thefourmonkeys. They're family friendly, their stories are brilliant and they are really nice
people. We've been in contact with them since before they became popular :)

3) What is your favorite LEGO set?
We don't really have a favourite LEGO set. We prefer customising sets with the pieces we have, which we both find a lot more fun :)
4) Did you ever think you would become this popular?
No we didn't really. It's quite something. We thought it would take much longer than it did to get to the stage that we're at today :)

5) Does making LEGO Stop-motion influence in your social life?
It did a bit to begin with but not so much nowadays. However some of our friends have seen the videos and even tried to create a live action video with us (didn't really go too well lol) :)

6) Have you ever had any issues with another YouTuber?
Aye, we have but more in the early days of YouTube. Some of the people we had issues with later became our friends but others didn't. We don't really have issues with other brickfilmers nowadays. If we don't like their videos we just don't watch them which is the best course of action :)

7) If you could go back to when you began brickfilming would you have changed anything you did on your videos or on YouTube?

Aye, it's a bit embarrassing to watch some of our earlier videos. But we were about 12 when we started so I guess that makes sense. Apart from that, we're quite happy with the way we've progressed through YouTube :)

8) Do you have any tips for aspiring animators?
Calum: Yeah, I say just keep doing what you love. You might need to improve the sounds, get a better camera or edit better but eventually every brickfilmer gets to be good at what they do. The more practice you get, the more enjoyable brickfilming becomes and the better your films get :)

Jack: In my opinion, the 3 most important factors in film whether it's brickfilming or even live action is plot, character development and setting. As long as you have all of these, a good camera and editing software (Even Windows Movie Maker can be used effectively) then all you need is practice and a bit of patience while filming :)

9) What are your plans for the future?
Calum: These will be pretty long, lol. I plan to become an author in the future, simply because I enjoy stories and I love writing them. It makes sense as I wrote the script for the Agent's movie. As for brickfilming, I still very much love it and we might make some LEGO trailers of the novels I have written. I reckon later on in future I'll probably still be brickfilming for a hobby. We'll just have to see, won't we? :)

Jack: I've wanted to be a Palaeontologist since 2003 and still aim for that goal. As for brickfilming, the trailers seem like fun :) I would like to do another big movie at some point. Due to positivie reaction to the Agents movie, a sequel is possible. I'd like to adapt a novel into a brickfilm perhaps like Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror by Steve Alten or Raven's Gate by Anthony Horowitz. If only we had the effects to do so. I hope to release some more brickfilms later in 2012 after a hiatus in 2011 after the Agents movie.

The Next Modular Building- Town Hall

I personally love the modular buildings. I wish I had bought some when they first started the line but I wasn't really into them at that time. Now I am really into them and definitely want to start a collection. this news made me super excited about the new modular building called Town Hall. The picture (shown below) was found on a Romanian toy shop website. Amazingly, it has 2766 pieces, which is a whole lot more than other modular buidlings. As a last note, all that dark orange makes me super excited for this! Check out the image below!

Aragorn Poster Revealed

A poster for the NEW 2012 line of Lord of the Rings sets has been found showing one of my favorite Lord of the Rings characters, Aragorn. Check it out below!

The Good, The Bad, and The Noob

This amazing brickfilm made by Bionicle28, is a recreation of a popular video game called Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). Bionicle28 is probably one of the best brickfilmers on YouTube in my opinion. His animation is amazing and the special effects are great. Click on the picture below to watch the video.
